Itinerary

Arrive at Islamabad International Airport, where our representative will meet and assist you. Transfer to your hotel and spend the day resting after your international journey. In the evening, attend a detailed group briefing about the trek and the journey ahead. Depending on arrival time, you may take a short city tour of Islamabad, visiting landmarks such as Faisal Mosque or Daman-e-Koh. Enjoy a group dinner and overnight stay, preparing for your adventure into the mountains.

Take a spectacular morning flight to Skardu, offering breathtaking views of Nanga Parbat and the Karakoram peaks. Upon arrival, drive along the Indus River and continue north toward Hunza, following one of the most scenic routes in the world—the Karakoram Highway. Pass by mountain villages, suspension bridges, and dramatic valleys before reaching Karimabad, the cultural heart of Hunza. Settle into your hotel and enjoy an evening stroll through the historic streets.

Spend a full day exploring Hunza’s rich heritage. Visit the 700-year-old Altit Fort, once home to the ruling Mir family, and the iconic Baltit Fort that overlooks the valley. Wander through the apricot orchards and narrow alleys of Karimabad, meet local artisans, and enjoy panoramic views of Rakaposhi, Ultar Sar, and Ladyfinger Peak. This day also allows time to rest and acclimatize before the trek begins.

Drive north to the peaceful Borith Lake near Gulmit, surrounded by mountain serenity. Begin your trek from nearby Ghulkhin village toward Passugar, following a trail that winds through fields and moraines beneath the mighty Passu Glacier. The 3–4 hour hike brings you to Passugar campsite, a beautiful meadow offering views of Passu Cones and the surrounding peaks. Set up camp and enjoy your first night under the stars.

Continue trekking from Passugar toward Luzhdar, a lush summer pasture used by local shepherds. The trail ascends gradually, offering sweeping views of the glacier and the valley below. Spot marmots and grazing yaks along the way, with towering peaks all around. Arrive at Luzhdar camp by afternoon, surrounded by wildflowers and crisp mountain air. Spend the evening relaxing by the campfire.

Today’s trek leads to the highlight of the journey—Patundas Meadow, a high plateau between the Batura and Passu Glaciers. The steep ascent rewards you with one of the most stunning panoramas in all of Hunza: a 360° view of Passu Cones, Shispare, Ultar, and the long white sweep of Batura Glacier. Set up camp at Patundas, a breathtaking vantage point above the glaciers, and soak in the majesty of the Karakoram.

Enjoy a well-deserved rest day at Patundas. Explore the meadows, photograph the incredible mountain vistas, or simply relax while the wind whispers through the grass. Optional short hikes offer different perspectives of the glaciers and surrounding peaks. This day allows for acclimatization and reflection amid some of the most dramatic alpine scenery in Pakistan.

Descend from Patundas toward Mulunghil, following the same route down through Luzhdar. The return trek offers new perspectives of the glaciers and peaks, with changing light and landscapes. Pass shepherd huts and wildflower fields before arriving at Mulunghil camp, a serene and sheltered spot beside glacial streams. Enjoy your final night of camping under the northern sky.

Complete your final trekking stage as you descend toward Passu village, famous for its dramatic backdrop of pointed peaks. Bid farewell to your trekking crew and continue by road to nearby Gulmit. Check into a comfortable hotel and enjoy a hot shower, a warm meal, and the charm of this peaceful Hunza village. Evening free to explore or relax.

Depart early for the full-day drive from Hunza to Skardu, retracing the legendary Karakoram Highway through awe-inspiring valleys and along the Indus River. Stop for photos and short breaks along the way. Arrive in Skardu by evening and check into your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay after a long but scenic journey.

Take a morning flight from Skardu to Islamabad, enjoying aerial views of the Himalayan giants. Upon arrival, drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Taxila, an ancient center of Buddhist learning and art dating back over 2,000 years. Explore its ruins and museum before returning to Islamabad for the night. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with the group.

After breakfast, transfer to Islamabad International Airport for your onward flight. Reflect on your unforgettable journey through Hunza’s fortresses, glaciers, and meadows—an experience that blends the grandeur of the Karakoram with the warmth of its people. Depart with memories of adventure, friendship, and the timeless beauty of northern Pakistan.
