Depart from Islamabad and journey through the scenic route to Muzaffarabad, taking in the hills, rivers, and forests of Azad Kashmir. Continue onward to Kel, a charming village in the upper Neelum Valley that serves as the gateway to Shounter Valley. Arrive in Kel and check in to your accommodation, preparing for the upcoming trekking adventure. Take some time to relax and enjoy the surrounding mountain views.

After breakfast, transfer via 4x4 vehicles through the rugged Shounter Valley terrain to Domail, the starting point for the trek. Begin the trek from Domail to Dak 1, passing through lush green pastures, alpine forests, and streams. Camp overnight at Dak 1, surrounded by towering peaks and the serene silence of the valley. The evening offers a chance to enjoy sunset views over the mountains and prepare for the next day’s trek to Chitta Katha Lake.

Start the day with a moderate trek from Dak 1 towards Chitta Katha Lake. As you ascend, enjoy panoramic vistas of the surrounding snow-capped peaks, alpine meadows, and the sparkling lake coming into view. Set up camp near the lake and spend the evening soaking in the tranquil beauty of this alpine gem. After breakfast, depart Kel and journey back to Islamabad, enjoying the scenic drives through the Neelum Valley.
